Emsworth Primary School Improvement Priorities 2019 – 2021 

Key Priority: Curriculum leadership – intent, implementation and impact. 

Intent: To what extent does the school’s curriculum set out the knowledge and skills that pupils will gain at each stage.

Implementation: How is the curriculum taught and assessed in order to support pupils to build their knowledge and to apply that knowledge as skills.

Impact: What outcomes do the pupils achieve as a result of the education they receive?

This overarching aim will also incorporate the following areas through its objectives:

 Behaviour and attitudes

 Pupil’s motivation and attitude towards their learning and well-being of each other

 Personal development 

Curriculum extension and cultural capital – active citizens, British values, inclusivity, resilience, wellbeing, SMSC

 Leadership and management 

Curriculum leadership provided by subject leaders – evaluating the effectiveness of provision (intent, implementation and impact) by SLT and governors

 Quality of EY provision

 Intent, implementation and impact of EY curriculum   - readiness for next stage of education
