Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium Grant is central government funding paid to schools and is designed to support additional provision for students in receipt of Free School Meals (FSM) now or at any point in the last six years. It is part of the recognition nationally and internationally that economic disadvantage can have a negative impact on student attainment. It is also recognised that there has been a disproportionately high impact of COVID-19 on the education of disadvantaged pupils. The Pupil Premium, therefore, should be used to close the gap between these students and is aimed to eradicate any disadvantage. At Emsworth Primary School, we allocate this funding to support pupil premium children across the school from Year R to 6 with both their academic achievement and their wellbeing and access to wider school activities. Our Pupil Premium Statement details how this funding is allocated.
