Pupils at Emsworth Primary School have the option of having a hot school dinner or bringing in their own packed lunch.
Hampshire School Dinner Menu options are given out at the beginning of each term, and spare copies held at the school office. There is also a copy on Hampshire County Council website .
Dinners consist of a main and dessert, and there is a meat or vegetarian option. It is possible to 'mix and match' if you would like your child to have hot dinners on only some days, and packed lunch the rest.
We ask parents and carers to bring in their child's dinner money in a named envelope on a Monday or Friday morning. Payment can also be made online.
Online Free School Meal Eligibility Checking
Hampshire County Council Catering Services has an online service so parents/carers can check their eligibility for free school meals. This self service option is available at:
All you need to do is enter your name, national insurance number, address and child’s details. If your result comes back ‘found’ this means your child is eligible for free school meals and the system automatically tells the school. Even if your child does not wish to have a school meal but is still entitled, PLEASE register as the school receives funding for each child entitled to free meals.
If you have any problems or would like the school to check your eligibility, please contact the office who will be happy to help.
